KELLY WEARSTLER AND ARCA INTRODUCE NUDO 2.0
12 December 2024

Kelly Wearstler has announced her latest collaboration with ARCA, officially unveiling the next phase of their NUDO series at Art Basel Miami Beach 2024. The collection explores interlaced stone forms, inspired by ancient weaving techniques, reimagined with unexpected softness.
Each piece of the NUDO 2.0 collection emerges from the union of traditional craft techniques and cutting-edge technology, beginning as a digital exploration of helix forms and weaving patterns, before realisation as a piece of functional art. Through 3D-rendered miniatures, designs are meticulously calibrated before the stone is selected, in this instance onyx. ARCA’s craftspeople then employ robotics alongside the finesse of an artisan’s hand to actualize each design.
The expanded collection introduces new furniture designs that extend the language of the original NUDO series.
A standout piece is the NUDO Ping Pong Table, crafted from onyx, which transforms effortlessly from a lively game table into a dining table with a simple removal of the net.
Classic NUDO designs also undergo a next-generation evolution, reimagined in new stone. The NUDO End Table, Easy Chair, Long Bench, Stool, Chair, and Side Table now take on a gem-like quality in onyx. With each stone's natural intricacies, no two pieces are alike. Each design embodies its own distinct spirit, honoring the raw beauty and expressive character of marble.

NUDO 2.0 is available at ARCA's Wynwood showroom and online at kellywearstler.com.
